Insertable Support for Bladder LeaksSummary
Revive is a reusable bladder support device designed specifically for women experiencing Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)
- Select Your Size: If you bought the starter kit, it likely includes different sizes. Start with the smallest.
- Preparation: Wash your hands and the device with mild, unscented soap and water.
- Insertion: Use the provided applicator. Fold the Revive device into the applicator, apply a water-based lubricant to the tip, and insert it comfortably into the vaginal canal.
- Placement: Once the applicator is withdrawn, the device expands to support the urethra. You shouldn't feel it if it's placed correctly.
- Removal & Cleaning: At the end of the day (or after 12 hours), use the retrieval string to remove it. Wash it thoroughly, let it air dry, and store it in the provided case.
How it Works (The Mechanics)
In SUI, the pelvic floor muscles or the tissues surrounding the urethra are weakened. When you cough or jump, the bladder is squeezed, but the urethra doesn't have enough "backstop" support to stay closed. Revive acts as that mechanical backstop, reinforcing the urethral tube so it stays shut under pressure.
Important Considerations
Important Considerations
- Not for Urge Incontinence: If you have an "overactive bladder" (the sudden, intense need to go), Revive may not be effective, as that is a neurological/muscle contraction issue rather than a structural support issue.
- Hygiene: Because it is reusable, strict cleaning is a must to prevent UTIs or irritation.
